Join us Friday, December 15 & Saturday, December 16 as we honor Our Lady this Advent season. RSVP by December 6 if you plan to attend the potluck dinner.
The national effort for a Eucharistic Revival has been underway for over a year. At the heart of every effort is a desire to respond more fully to God's invitation. The same God who gives us life wants to nourish us for our human journey. We live in a world filled with joys and challenges. We must respond, but the path forward is often difficult and uncertain. God does not abandon those who call out to him. He responds to give us strength as we follow the narrow way, as we carry our crosses alongside Jesus. CLICK TO READ THE FULL LETTER.
Following a break for refreshments after the Rorate Caeli Mass on Saturday, December 16, please join me and our Schola Cantorum in the Tally Auditorium for an hour-long presentation on the origins of Gregorian Chant and how it influenced the development of music in Western Civilization. Together, we will sing samples of Gregorian Chants in both the ancient neums and modern notation to help illustrate how this revolutionary system of notation influenced a thousand years of musical creativity.
As we begin Advent this coming Sunday, please note that we will change to Mass XVII for Sundays in Advent & Lent. Our Marian Antiphon will also change to the Alma Redemptoris Mater until the eve of February 2nd (Candlemas).
Save the date for our 2nd Annual Rorate Caeli Weekend - Friday, Dec. 15 & Saturday, Dec. 16 - an event in honor of Our Lady as the one through whom the Light of the World entered human history. More details to follow!
